October Favourites

Oct 19, 2016

I can't believe that Halloween is just around the corner. If you're still looking for fun ideas, check out the original videos from MAKE UP FOR EVER. The Darling Deer is so precious and surprisingly easy to achieve. Since I have discovered many greats things lately, here's a round-up of my favourite picks regarding fashion, beauty and more!

Ogilvy's 150th Anniversary
Ogilvy, one of the most stylish shopping destinations in Montréal, is turning 150 years old this year! And to mark the occasion some prestigious brands such as Stuart Weitzman, Christofle and Links of London have created unique pieces inspired by the store's DNA. These limited-edition items will be available for an online auction to raise funds for the Montréal Children Hospital Foundation. Fancy this Stuart Weitzman bootie with the iconic Ogilvy's plaid? You have until November 16th, the day of the highly anticipated Ogilvy en fête shopping and gastronomy extravaganza, to participate

Fresh Sugar Cream Lip Treatment ($29)
Tired of overly drying matte lipsticks? Give your pout a well-deserved break with these incredibly nourishing lip moisturizers from Fresh. These beauties come in three different versatile hues — Blush, Buff, and Pink — which you can wear alone or mix and match to create distinctive shades. If you love the brand's famous range of Tinted Lip Treatments, you'll love the Sugar Cream's divine whipped texture.

Did you know that Montréal is now celebrating its 10th anniversary as a UNESCO city of design? For the occasion, the city's Bureau of design has released CODE SOUVENIR MONTRÉAL, a catalogue of gift ideas showcasing Montréal through the eyes of our most talented designers. From the rich chocolates of Geneviève Grandbois to the whimsical porcelain cups of Alice in Montréal, the adorable Paperole greeting cards, the delicious caramels from Dinette Nationale, the Milan bracelets in soft leather from Holdur, there's something for absolutely everyone. Visit their website for other unique gift ideas.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon and Nivarna Rose ($107 for 1.7 oz)
I never thought I'd straight away from my two beloved fall fragrances: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and Coco Noir. But I just can't get enough of the latest releases from Elizabeth and James. Here are two alluring, yet sophisticated autumnal scents with a sleek, masculine bottle. While Nirvana rose is a dark and sensual floral with an intriguing mix of vetiver and patchouli, Nirvana Bourbon is a sultry oriental with strong vanilla and woodsy notes.

HydraFacial MD ($150)
I recently had the chance to try the most coveted non-invasive facial treatment in Hollywood at the Etiket spa on Sherbrooke Ouest, and I am totally hooked. In less than one hour, HydraFacial MD combines an exfoliation, a chemical peel, a painless extraction and concludes with a gentle delivery of antioxidants, Hyaluronic Acid, and peptides. Not only is it incredibly fast and efficient, but the results are immediately visible. Want poreless, glowing and plumped skin? Head over to Etiket or one of the eight other locations in the Greater Montreal.
