As much as I like playing with makeup and discovering new beauty products, during the week I like the idea of working with only a few products when I get ready in the morning. I feel that this approach helps me to streamline my routine while allowing me to experiment with specific products. Here are the five makeup products that have rocked my life lately:
To help diminish my undereye circles, I have started using the new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer (R22). It's a creamy concealer with a luminous finish, and a medium coverage. I like how incredibly easy it is to blend, plus it never looks cakey. I also use it to cancel out the redness around the nose area.
I have recently discovered two new exciting products in the eye makeup department. The first one is the Lise Watier Cushion Eyeliner, which I apply with the LW eyeliner brush. It's perhaps the most precise eyeliner I have ever tried. To pick up the liquid formula, you simply have to roll the brush over the mesh overlay to evenly coat the bristles. It takes some getting use to at the beginning, but considering how it glides on smoothly while allowing for an ultra-precise application, it's time well invested. The second fun product I recently adopted is Looky Brow created by Elle R Cosmétiques. At first, it looks like a small lipgloss tube, but it is filled with nylon fibers to help define and sculpt the brows. It takes only a few seconds to fill in my brows, and the result is so natural. Love it!
To add a bit of warmth to my complexion, I like to take one of my favourite bronzers, the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in Natural - Brunettes (03). It's such a finely milled powder with a beautiful sheen. This bronzer offers a natural sun-kissed glow to the skin without looking orange, which is why I reach for it quite often. To complete a light makeup, nothing beats the radiant appeal of my beloved Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. At the moment, my favourite shade is the new Toffee Pink Shimmer (08), a dusty pink with just a hint of mauve. Just perfect for spring!
