My Aveeno Photoshoot

Dec 18, 2015

As much as I like playing with makeup, I tend to prefer wearing a very light base instead of foundation in my everyday life. I just like the simplicity of it, as well as the fresh and natural effect it gives to the skin.
So when Aveeno offered me to try their Positively Radiant CC Cream & CC Eye Cream, I was quite intrigued. When I discovered that this range of tinted moisturizers is packed with a strong UV protection - hello SPF 30! - I was, even more, eager to give it a try.
On a gloomy Wednesday, just before the holiday season, Aveeno invited me to a makeup session with pro makeup artist Patrick Rahmé, who has worked  with the biggest names in the industry. For the occasion, Patrick used the Aveeno CC Cream and CC Eye Cream with hardly any concealer or powder to set the base. Then, he added a slight touch of blush and a bit of bronzer before enhancing my eyes with a few strokes of eyeshadow. He completed this natural makeup by defining my eyebrows and adding a My-Lips-But-Better shade of lipstick

The results just blew me away. I just couldn't believe that you could achieve such a polished, yet natural look simply with a tinted moisturizer and a bit of makeup.

I tried to recreate the look at home the next day. I first applied a few dots on each cheek before blending everything with my beauty blender. I did the same thing under my eyes but used the to blend the delicate area around my eyes. What surprised me is that both CC Creams are hydrating and have a lightweight texture, which makes it so easy to blend. While the face cream helps to colour correct redness and dull skin, the eye cream is quite impressive at concealing dark circles and signs of fatigue.
The result: A flawless, yet radiant look that is so easy to achieve. And the coverage is quite awesome.

What do you think of the Positively Radiant line?
