Golden Globes 2013: My Five Picks

Jan 14, 2013

What an evening it was last night at the Golden Globes! Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did an amazing job at hosting the show! Not only were they hilarious and entertaining, but they were also beautifully dressed throughout the evening. I hope they will be back next year!

Now, here are my five picks for best dressed ladies of the evening:

1. If you have been following my blog for a while, you will not be surprised to know that my favorite one was French actress Marion Cotillard. She was sublime last night in an asymetrical orange red dress from Dior Couture. As always, Marion looked effortlessly chic and balanced the powerful shade of her dress with very natural hair and makeup. It's truly a less is more attitude, which I find quite refreshing.

2. My second pick is another stunning red number. Indeed, Claire Danes looked all glammed up in this Versace dress. Can you even believe that she had her baby on December 17th?

3. My third favorite is perhaps the most femme fatale of it all. It's Jessica Chastain who wore a backless halter gown from Calvin Klein Collection.

4. Julianne Moore wore an amazingly chic dress designed by Tom Ford. This goes to show that you don't have reveal your assets to be elegant and sexy.

5. Kate Hudson wore a showstopper gown by McQueen. The embroidered details at the waist and the neckline were simply exquisite. I somehow feel that not everyone would have looked stylish in this black dress, so I am glad she went for it because she ended up looking divine.

What do you think of my choices?

  2. Silly me. I had no idea that Golden Globes was on. I adore Julianne Moore. She's completely without artifice and looks remarkably for her age.
