My Fall Skincare Must-Haves

Oct 24, 2012

Not only is fall an exciting season from a fashion perspective; it is the perfect time to freshen up your skincare routine and prepare for the cold months ahead. While we add layers of clothing and explore the luxurious fall fabrics, why not pamper our skin with effective beauty products that will go the extra mile to keep our face plumped and our body smooth.

Today, I would like to share with you my current skincare regimen. Here are my beauty picks to amp up the moisture factor this time of year:

1. Makeup remover - Nuxe Comforting Cleansing Milk ($20 CAD)
When the weather starts dropping, I like to treat my face to a rich and creamy makeup remover that will not strip my skin from its natural oils. This one has light yet heavenly rose scent, a divine texture and most importantly, it is very emollient.

2. Face toner - Bioderma Sensibio H2O ($19CAD)
This one is a staple in my beauty cabinet (read my previous review here). This product does a great job of removing makeup residue after using the creamy makeup remover. It leaves my face clean and seriously fresh. Love it!

3. Hand cream - L'Occitane Shea Butter Mango Flower Hand Cream ($12CAD)
I already loved their famous shea hand cream and even had one on my nightstand as well as another one in my handbag. But recently, I decided to switch to the new mango essence, which has a fabulous smell while providing valuable protection for my hands.

4. For extra care: Melvita Argan Oil ($25CAD)
Whenever I need an extra layer of moisture or wish to provide radiance to my skin, I turn to this organic oil from France. It is simply amazing for the cuticles, the hair, the face and also the body. Be careful, a little goes a long way!

5. Face mask - Clarins HydraQuench Cream Mask ($39CAD)
This is a mask I use when I want to indulge myself. It is quite gentle and very lightweight but it really helps to hydrate my skin and keep my look fresh before a special occasion.

6. Lips - Eos lip balm ($3.50CAD)
This is another favorite of mine because of the shape, the price and the fact that it's organic. I think there is an Eos balm for every season. This fall, I am fond of the minted one. (See my previous review here).

I'd be curious to know what are your favorite skincare products this season. Do tell! I love to discover new product and get new beauty tips.
