Sticky, sticky, sticky!

I am willing to bet that they melted all over you when you were a kid. I am also certain that it always irritated your parents that you were covered with sticky popsicle goo in the back of the car. Didn't you try to compete with your siblings for the tongue with the brightest color? You probably still do it today!

Great memories of childhood.

On a cold January day, I bought myself the coolest rocket-shaped popsicle molds. I guess I was seriously longing for summer that day. Five months later, I am thrilled to finally get to use them. What a delight!

Here is a simple strawberry popsicle recipe that I have developed after a few trials and errors:

Crush two cups of fresh strawberries in the blender. Then, add a tablespoon of orange juice and two tablespoons of agave nectar. You could also use sugar instead but I prefer agave nectar because it is naturally sweet and it has a low glycemic index. Once you have all the ingredients, mix them thoroughly, and pour the liquid in the molds and voilĂ !

Simple pleasures, isn't that what summer is all about?

What is your favorite popsicle flavor?
